On 31 Aug 2026 NavAv will reach its planned end of life and cease operations indefinitely. Please ensure you have backed up any data you wish to keep and do not create any events past this date.

This date is significant because it is the 10 year anniversary of NavAv’s launch. At the time of this writing, over its lifespan NavAv has collected 85,717 responses to 4,591 events for 35 different organizations.

Due to an increase in the number and sophistication of cyberattacks, increases in hosting costs, and the time and effort that would be required to upgrade the site to a modern platform, it is necessary to cease operations now rather than compromise security. Over its lifespan, NavAv never experienced any form of data breach.

There are now a number of tools available to track events and attendance that did not exist 10 years ago when this program was written. I sincerely hope you are able to find a suitable replacement to NavAv that works well for your organization and the migration process is as painless as possible.
